Doug Dominick

Owner

Doug Dominick has been the owner and operator of Anchor Marine in Menomonie, WI since 1996. He brings over 31 years of hands-on experience with both outboards and sterndrives.
In addition to running the shop, Doug serves as an adjunct instructor at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, teaching in the
Motorcycle, Marine, and Outdoor Power Products Program.

Education and Certifications

Doug graduated as an Outboard Specialist from the Marine & Outdoor Power Program at South Central Technical College in Faribault, MN. He has earned certifications from Mercury, MerCruiser, OMC, Yamaha, AMTECH, and CDI Electronics.
In 2024, he completed advanced training at both Mercury University and Yamaha University, and in 2025, he earned a certificate in Teaching Adults from UW-Milwaukee at Waukesha.
He believes ongoing education is essential to staying ahead of today’s marine technology.

A Life on the Water

Doug grew up fishing and boating on the lakes of Wisconsin and Illinois, leading to a lifelong passion for the water. Today, he’s still an avid fisherman who understands how valuable time on the water is — and he brings that same respect to every boat he services. Doug knows customers count on reliable work to make the most of their time on the water.

Community Involvement

Doug believes strongly in giving back to the community. He served as chapter president for Let’s Go Fishing–Menomonie, offering free boating trips to seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities.
He has also volunteered with Coco’s Heart Dog Rescue and served on the board of the Tainter Menomin Lake Improvement Association. Supporting local causes and organizations has always been part of Anchor Marine’s foundation.
Currently, Doug volunteers a pontoon boat and his time for the Disabled Fishing Event held annually by the Alliance of Dunn County Conservation and Sports Clubs.

Meet Banyan

Anchor Marine’s shop dog, Banyan, is a certified 100% Good Boy and an important part of the team.
When he’s not greeting customers or protecting the storage lot from squirrels, he’s usually busy napping according to his dog agenda. His customer service skills (tail wags and friendly greetings) are second to none. Feel free to stop by for some dog therapy — and we’ll have a lint roller ready for you!
